Etwas mehr als zwei Jahre ist es nun her, dass der 37-jährige Nzoy aus Zürich in Morges von der Polizei erschossen wurde. Seither kämpfen seine Familie und Freund*innen um eine juristische Aufarbeitung des Falles. Eines Falles, der uns wieder einmal vorführt, in was für einem rassistischen System wir leben.
Wir wissen aber, dass wir auf eine lange und reiche Geschichte von Kämpfen zurückblicken können, die dem rassistischen System die Stirn geboten haben. Diese antirassistischen Kämpfe in ihrer Vielfalt versammeln unzählige Erfahrungen, von denen wir lernen und uns stärken können. Am 21. Oktober tragen wir deshalb diese Stärke auf die Strasse.
Um auf die Demo einzustimmen, zeigt das Bündnis Justice4Nzoy um 19.30 Uhr im Kino der Reitschule den Film „Frères“: Mahamadou, Diané und Farid haben alle in den letzten zehn Jahren einen Bruder durch einen Polizeieinsatz verloren. Seit der Ermordung ihrer Brüder leben sie mit Schmerz, unerträglicher Trauer und dem Willen, Gerechtigkeit zu erlangen.
Es gibt am Filmabend zudem die Möglichkeit sich mit Mobimaterial und Merch einzudecken, um mitzuhelfen, weitere Menschen im Kampf gegen Rassismus auf die Strasse zu bringen und das Bündnis zu unterstützen.
It is now just over two years since 37-year-old Nzoy from Zurich was shot dead by police in Morges. Since then, his family and friends have been struggling for a legal review of the case. A case that once again shows us what kind of racist system we live in. But we know that there is a long and rich history of struggles that have confronted the racist system. These anti-racist struggles in their diversity gather countless experiences from which we can learn and strengthen ourselves. On October 21, we will therefore take this strength to the streets. To set the scene for the demonstration, the Justice4Nzoy alliance will show the film "Frères" at 7:30 pm in the Reitschule cinema: Mahamadou, Diané and Farid have all lost a brother to police action in the last ten years. Since the murder of their brothers, they live with pain, unbearable grief and the will to get justice. There will also be an opportunity to stock up on info material and merch at the film night to help bring more people to the streets in the fight against racism and to support the alliance.
Cela fait maintenant un peu plus de deux ans que Nzoy, un Zurichois de 37 ans, a été abattu par la police à Morges. Depuis, sa famille et ses amis*se battent pour que l'affaire soit traitée juridiquement. Une affaire qui nous montre une fois de plus dans quel système raciste nous vivons. Mais nous savons que il y a une longue et riche histoire de luttes qui ont défié le système raciste. Ces luttes antiracistes, dans leur diversité, rassemblent d'innombrables expériences dont nous pouvons apprendre et nous renforcer. Le 21 octobre, nous porterons donc cette force dans la rue. Pour se mettre dans la perspective de la manifestation, l'alliance Justice4Nzoy présentera le film "Frères" à 9h30 au cinéma de la Reitschule: Mahamadou, Diané et Farid ont tous perdu un frère lors d'une intervention policière au cours des dix dernières années. Depuis l'assassinat de leurs frères, ils vivent avec la douleur, un deuil insupportable et la volonté d'obtenir justice. Lors de la soirée de projection, il sera également possible de se procurer du matériel de promotion et du merch afin de contribuer à faire descendre d'autres personnes dans la rue pour lutter contre le racisme et soutenir l'alliance.
